Updating partially-supported app titles

We’ve learned that some apps, e.g. Node.js, will not update via App Catalog as “it isn't possible to read out the version of the application”. Whilst the “sudo catalog -i org.nodejs.node -f” command will forcibly update the app, it will not respect user deferrals and instead automatically quit the app to update.

As an IT Administrator, I want to update these partially-supported apps in a safe way that will not risk loss of user data if the app is currently open.

Even just having a complete list of these partially supported apps would be an improvement.

Ideally, App Catalog would recognise any partially supported apps installed locally and prompt the user to update if currently open. This update cycle should be customisable and separate from the fully supported app cycle - i.e. the partially supported app update cycle could be weekly and the fully supported app update cycle could be daily.
